Paper format
The article format for ISH 2018 will be that of an Acta Acustica united with Acustica Fast Track article (max 4 pages in two-column format).
The Acta Acustica united with Acustica instructions for authors should be followed:
http://www.acta-acustica-united-with-acustica.com/for-authors/instructions-for-authors.html
The LaTeX template available at the above link can be used. Alternatively, manuscripts can be prepared in Word as long as the same two-column format is used (width of about 80 mm for each column), header and font size is kept the same, and pages and lines are numbered. Please see this example and the above author guidelines for more information.
Submission of initial papers
To be considered for presentation at ISH 2018, authors must follow these two steps:
- Pre-register their submission on the ISH 2018 website by March 1, 2018 to receive an invitation to submit their initial paper to the ISH 2018 special issue of Acta Acustica united with Acustica.
Pre-registration is now closed.
- Submit a full version of their initial manuscript via the Acta Acustica united with Acustica online submission system by March 8, 2018.
Corresponding authors will receive a link to the online submission system within a couple of days after pre-registration.
Notification of paper acceptance
Corresponding authors of submitted papers will be notified of manuscript acceptance or rejection by March 21, 2018.
As the meeting will focus on fundamental hearing science, with emphasis on psychoacoustics, physiology of hearing, and auditory modelling, please note that priority will be given to fundamental rather than applied research topics in the selection process.
Accepted submissions will be presented in oral form at ISH 2018 and considered for further peer-review. In the case of a rejection, the authors will be invited to resubmit their manuscript for consideration as a Fast Track paper in Acta Acustica united with Acustica, subject to a regular peer-review process.
Submission of final papers
Authors of ISH 2018 accepted contributions will have the opportunity to revise their initial manuscript based on peer-review and symposium feedback, before publication in the Acta Acustica united with Acustica ISH 2018 special issue. Final manuscripts should be submitted by July 1, 2018.
Submission will open a few weeks before this deadline and submission instructions will be provided on this page.
